About Us
A house of welcome, hope, and care for all - where every person is seen and loved

Radical Hospitality.
Incarnational Living.
Authentic Community.
Our Mission
At Noble Joseph House, we practice radical hospitality to those who are overlooked and in need, receiving each person as Christ Himself. Through incarnational living, we share life - breaking bread, offering companionship, and entering into one another’s joys and sorrows. In this way, we build authentic community that transforms strangers into brothers and sisters, beholding the beauty and dignity of every person.

Radical Hospitality
Our doors are open wide to welcome every person, from every walk of life.
“I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.”
Matthew 25:35

Incarnational Living
We share life’s joys and sorrows side by side, fully present to one another.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn."
Romans 12:15

Authentic Community
We serve and are served as equals, honoring every story and offering every gift.
"And all who believed were together and had all things in common"
Acts 2:44
In the Spirit of Joseph of Arimathea
When the world turned away, Joseph leaned in. He saw the corporeal needs of Christ in the moment of His greatest need, claiming His broken and abandoned body.
At Noble Joseph House, we strive to carry that same spirit, tending to our community in their need, and offering a place of rest, where all are seen and loved.
How We Serve

We give space
Find comfort and connection at our drop-in center, where warm meals, listening ears, and supportive community await. Come as you are, and discover a safe space to belong and thrive.

We give sustenance
Savor home-cooked meals, lovingly prepared by church volunteers, every Monday night. Come taste the love and community that brings people together from all over Toronto.

We share memories
Honor your loved one with a memorial meal, where our community comes together in prayer and remembrance.
Sponsor a meal and share in the tradition of koliva, a sweet dish of boiled wheat, while we pray and celebrate the lives of those dear to you.

We share knowledge
Get your child the support they need with our math and writing tutoring, led by certified teachers and supported by young volunteer tutors. Plus, enjoy fun contests, celebrations, and playtime with friends - all while enjoying good food and a sense of community!

We create
Join our cozy knitting group, led by Fran, where community and creativity come together in a warm and welcoming space. Knit with us, using donated yarn, as we share fellowship and prepare for our evening meals together.

We pray
Wrap up the evening with a peaceful prayer service, where community and reflection come together in a warm and intimate setting. Stay and connect with others, as this quiet moment often sparks a deeper connection to faith and community.
Why does this matter?
We need spaces where people can truly meet each other again, where gathering is about more than filling the stomach, but also nourishing the soul through relationship and community.
A shared meal, a medical check-up, a game of chess becomes a sacred opportunity to see and be seen, to listen and be known.
As Joseph cared for Christ, we see and serve Him in each person, meeting needs of body and soul.
